Independent Cultural Platform
Founder, Curator & Creative Producer
Newark, New Jersey and New York City

Founded by Abigail Alabré in 2022, ART&B is an independent cultural platform presenting contemporary visual art within thoughtfully curated social environments. It began with a commitment to making artistic discovery more accessible and creating opportunities for artists beyond conventional gallery settings.
Each edition develops an exhibition within the life of a venue: artist selection, artwork presentation, and programming are considered together. Everyday spaces become temporary cultural destinations where audiences can encounter contemporary practice through an evening of discovery and connection.

Sponsor participation is edition-specific; this does not imply Liquitex sponsored every ART&B edition.
The curatorial approach begins with the space: how people gather, move, and encounter the work around them.
Artist selection, artwork placement, and exhibition presentation integrate contemporary practice into the venue’s social environment, allowing discovery to unfold naturally.

Visual art anchors each edition. A curated selection of works is presented throughout the venue, inviting guests to look closely, encounter different artistic perspectives, and engage with the exhibition as they move through the space.

Music gives the evening its rhythm. It shapes the atmosphere, sustains the gathering, and connects the exhibition environment with the energy of the audience.
Artists, creatives, and guests share a setting for conversation and connection. Encounters with the work unfold alongside social exchanges, making the audience part of the cultural experience rather than separate from it.

At Allettante in Newark, artwork was integrated throughout an intimate restaurant setting. Guests moved between displayed works and shared social spaces, encountering the exhibition as part of the evening rather than as a separate destination.

As founder, curator, and creative producer, I shape ART&B from its initial concept through exhibition presentation and the experience itself. My work connects creative direction with artist outreach, selection, and coordination, developing a curatorial framework that responds to each venue.
I lead exhibition planning and artwork presentation while working with venues on production coordination. Music and cultural programming, installation decisions, and audience experience are considered as parts of one connected environment—bringing artistic intention into the practical work of presenting each edition.
